angle-left And that’s a wrap on summer 2018…
Published on 19 September 2018

After two months of sunbathing, enjoying the summer’s activities and relaxing, it is time to pack up our bathing suits and our flip flops…

Summer has ended, it is time to go back to school or to work. But let’s not feel sorry for ourselves! This summer was filled with good moments. From the outdoor film screenings to the Arachnima Tour, from the alsacian folklore shows to the music shows, there has been enough to satisfy everyone.

A little flashback…

This year, the summer lights have taken over three monuments in the city: the Cathedral, the Palais Universitaire and the Vauban dam. These three sound light shows have transported us in the three most important eras of the city’s history and have enabled us to see these places in a whole new light.

The city center’s streets have been taken over by the FARSe from August 10th to August 12th and have brought with them poetry and wonderment. The 2018 edition has enchanted its spectators. With Claire Ducreux as artistic director, the street arts festival will be back even stronger in 2019.

This summer has also been animated with the outdoor screenings of 10 movies in three parks of the city.

The summer docks were once again installed in front of the Mediathèque Malraux with their lot of white sand, barbecues and animations for all.

And last but not least, let’s not forget about France’s win in the FIFA World Cup.

What a busy summer! And as it is impossible to list all the things that happened, how about you go see what was posted on social media this summer, or even better, come see us in 2019!
