FARSe Strasbourg Festival of Street Arts

FARSe Strasbourg Festival of Street Arts

From August 9th to 11th, in the streets and squares of the city-centre and on the Presqu’île Malraux

This summer, Strasbourg will come alive with the sensibility and tenderness of the Festival of Street Arts. For three days, experience moments that exist outside of time, infused with unpredictable magic and engagement.

Some thirty French and international companies will be taking over public spaces, giving you the opportunity to experience the city in a new way. Each performance creates a shared moment, a collective dream recalling our individual emotions.

The festival is intended for all audiences and features large-scale yet intimate performances marked by tenderness and generosity. The different arts overlap and combine to create a captivating poetic journey, a unique place of exchange between performers and audiences.

Lose yourself in the streets of Strasbourg, which provide a stage for an incredibly diverse range of artistic performances. You will be mesmerized by this almost surrealistic atmosphere with its mix of musicians, dancers, actors and acrobats. All of these poets are ready to surprise you at every street corner!

The artistic director

Claire Ducreux is the Artistic Director of the festival since 2018. An internationally-renowned dancer and choreographer, she is known for her performances inspired by mime, theatre and clown arts. She takes possession of public spaces by offering a light-hearted and tender interpretation of the city, with a programme that reflects the companies performing in the festival this year.

Volunteer for the festival

The FARSe needs volunteers to bring the festival to life and make it unique. Did you know that since 2015, the FARS’eurs community contributes to the success of the festival by welcoming and informing festival goers, communicating with companies and installing stages and other props for each performance.

You’d like to be a part of this community and become a volunteer? Here you go (in french).

Follow the FARSe live on the festival's Facebook page and on the City's social media as Strasbourg.eu on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.

Be aware that security measures will be implemented. More information to come.
