LUX presents HORTUS
From July 6 to September 1st 2019, Quai des Bateliers and Place du Château.
This year again, the great summer show in Strasbourg is back with a new event concept! Day or night, come and discover the Alsatian capital like you have never seen it before...
Strasbourg invites you to rediscover the city and its architecture through a unique experience full of magic and light.
During the day, the docks (Quai des Bateliers) offer you a contemplative moment between urban space and nature. Take the time to admire and discover this place to the rhythm of the water and the people of Strasbourg. Take a break in one of the docks' shared hammocks and plant kiosks to slow down and enjoy the moment.
At nightfall, the city changes and becomes the scene of a play of light. Thanks to the facades of the Quai des Bateliers, it offers you a spectacular and magical view of the docks.
On the Place du Château, the Cathedral comes to life through a video-mapping show that reveals the sculptures of the monument. It offers you a magical moment, an immersion in the heart of the Cathedral's most incredible pieces of art, especially inspired by vegetals, as if you were walking in an extraordinary garden...
This show takes place every evening from 10:30 pm in July and 10:15 pm in August and September.
Several performances are held every evening
