European Heritage Days 2026
The 43rd edition of European Heritage Days is back on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September. This year’s themes are ‘Photographic Heritage’ and ‘Heritage at Risk – Revive, Resist, Reimagine’.
Now is the time to (re)discover the city’s and the Eurometropolis’s exceptional, intriguing or little-known monuments!
We’ve put together a list of things to see for you:
- Find out more about Strasbourg and its history through the exhibition at the 5e Lieu which has just been given a makeover
- Discover the magnificent rooms of ltrasbourg City Hall
- Take a stroll behind the scenes at the Opéra National du Rhin and discover its secrets
- Explore the University of Strasbourg and the Jardin des Sciences which offer a range of activities
- Admire the Rose Garden in the town of Schiltigheim
- Put on some sturdy shoes and bring a torch for an unusual tour of Fort Ducrot in the municipality of Mundolsheim
