Compagnie Mmm

Founded in 2010, Compagnie Mmm... is a storytelling company. It is the result of a meeting between Marie-Magdeleine (Magma) and Julien Marot. In 2012, they created La Famille Vient en Mangeant. After this first one-woman show, other projects were born, the fruit of work shared between Magma (author and actress) and her acolytes who, for an indefinite time, worked alongside her to give birth to an artistic object. In 2015, the company's second opus saw the light of day: G.R.A.I.N. Histoire de Fous (G.R.A.I.N. Crazy Stories), a show about mental health, asking who is really the other person's crazy person. Then, in 2017, Crise(s), an undisciplinable trio. And in 2021, his new show Tant Bien Que Mal. Based in the Landes region where it was born, the company is a family affair, from near and far, in its relationships and adventures. There is no new writing without a new encounter, no subject without a crucial event. The combination of circumstances always leads to an artistic revelation.
Each new show is an opportunity for new artistic collaborations to add new material, to question her practice and to emulate each other again and again. From the outset, they have never stopped touring theatres and street festivals, with projects flourishing year after year. To date, the team is made up of a lively core: Magma, Marion and Sarah, growing stronger with each passing passion and enduring path.
