Bastille Day is the most anticipated summer event in Strasbourg and throughout France—a time to gather with friends and family to honor the national holiday.

Bal populaire

This year, join Pascal Vecca and his musicians for the traditional bal populaire, immersing yourself in the festive and warm atmosphere with lively music.

On July 14th, starting from 8 PM, at Place de la Bourse*

Fireworks Display

Experience the grand fireworks display, paying tribute to the Republic, enhanced for the first time with drone sequences, launched from Parc de l'Étoile.

Traffic and Parking Measures

On Sunday, July 14, 2024, the City of Strasbourg will celebrate Bastille Day.

In accordance with the recommendations of the Prefecture of Bas-Rhin, vehicle parking will be prohibited and deemed obstructive (according to Article R 417-10 of the Highway Code) during the following periods and locations:

  • From July 14 at 1:00 AM to July 15 at 12:00 PM: Place du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny.
  • From July 14 at 1:00 AM to July 15 at 2:00 PM: Route de Vienne.

From July 14 at 1:00 AM to July 15 at 1:00 AM:

  • Rue de la Brigade Alsace-Lorraine, between Quai du Général Koenig and Rue de Sengenwald
  • Rue Jacques Peirotes, between Rue de Bienne and Rue de la Brigade Alsace-Lorraine
  • Rue de Lausanne, between Rue du Général Koenig and Rue de Berne, including the side parking
  • Quai du Général Koenig, between Rue du Mont Blanc and Rue de la Première Armée
  • Rue Spielmann, in its entirety
  • Rue du Marksgarten
  • Rue de la Thumenau
  • Rue des Châtaigniers, in 5 spots at number 2
  • Avenue de Colmar, between Rue de la Thumenau and Rue du Grand Couronné
  • Avenue de Colmar, between Rue d’Erstein, Rue de Besançon, and Rue de Nomeny
  • Avenue Jean-Jaurès, between Rue des Carmélites and Route de Vienne, and between Rue des Carmes and Route du Polygone
  • Rue de la Première Armée, between Rue Sengenwald and Quai du Général Koenig
  • Rue de Soleure, between Rue de la Brigade Alsace Lorraine and Rue de Berne
  • Rue de Bienne
  • Rue Sédillot
  • Rue Forget
  • Rue Fred Vles

Residents of the Nolistra/St-Urbain buildings with access from Rue de Vienne will not be able to reach their homes from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle traffic will also be disrupted during this time. Traffic will be prohibited for pedestrians, cyclists, and all vehicles from July 14 at 5:00 AM to July 15 at 12:00 PM on the off-ramp of Route du Rhin to Route de Vienne (in the Germany-France direction along the Nolistra/St-Urbain buildings, Rivétoile, and the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse), Quai Général Koenig between Pont d’Austerlitz and Pont de la Bourse, Promenade Dauphine, Place Dauphine, and Parc de l’Etoile.
