Come and admire the Cathedral as you've never seen it before, with this year's illuminations by light designer Daniel Knipper, with sound accompaniment by Les Ensembles 2.2 until 11 pm.
To mark and celebrate Strasbourg becoming UNESCO World Book Capital 2024, the illuminations will contain subtle references to books and the Pages Blanches/Blank Pages artwork installed on Place du Château.
The west front (with the rose window) when lit up reveals all the detail of this amazing iconic Strasbourg monument and UNESCO World Heritage site that is invisible in daylight. Enjoy the spectacle, then go away and come back later the same evening, come several times over the summer and every time you will be surprised by this fascinating edifice. Admire the carvings, the gargoyles, chimera and the architectural details of this imposing stone vessel that stands in the heart of our city.
